§ 38-46. Damaging property during unlawful act; restitution.

(a)

It is unlawful for any person, willfully or carelessly or while engaged in any unlawful act, to injure municipal property or the property of another person.

(b)

In addition to imposing punishment, the court may order restitution to the owner of the damaged property, in an amount not to exceed the maximum permitted under S.C. Code 1976, § 14-25-65.
